-HOW TO BEGIN-
IS THERE A COMMITMENT REQUIRED?
There is NO commitment required ever. You are required to have a NO COMMITMENT initial consultation medical visit to begin IV Infusion and Wellness Shot Therapy. Then, you may choose when and if you receive Wellness Shots or IV Infusion Therapy. You may stop therapy at any time.
CONSULTATION
An initial consultation medical visit with our Nurse Practitioner is required to begin Wellness Shot and IV Infusion Therapy. During this initial visit, the provider will review your medical history, medications you are taking, assess any contraindications, determine if blood work is necessary or desirable, discuss your needs and goals, and make recommendations. Blood work, if necessary, will be ordered and the cost may be covered by your health insurance. Example: Vitamin D3 requires blood work to receive safely.
COST OF CONSULTATION
The cost for this medical visit is $125. Your health insurance may cover the cost of this medical visit. Our office staff can determine if your visit is covered and your copay or deductible. Health insurance does not cover the cost of our IV Infusion or Wellness Shot Therapy.
SCHEDULING MY CONSULTATION MEDICAL VISIT
The initial consultation medical visit may be scheduled after you have completed the medical history and patient forms. You can request the forms in person or by calling our office 239.561.9191. Then, just submit them in person or via email. Our staff will call you, you can call us, or you can stop in our office to schedule your consultation.
RECEIVING YOUR SHOTS OR INFUSIONS
Once your provider has confirmed that you are a good candidate for IV Infusion and Wellness Shot Therapy during your consultation, you will need to sign our appointment policy and consent form if you choose to receive shots or infusions. Then, you can purchase and receive treatments anytime you like at either of our Fort Myers or Naples locations.
DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WHEN I WANT MY INFUSION?
Our infusions are available by appointment, but walk-ins are accepted provided there is space in our infusion room. Scheduling an appointment ensures that the space is reserved for you at the time you are scheduled. Appointments may be seen faster than walk-ins. However, you do not need an appointment. Just come in during business hours to our Fort Myers or Naples locations and get your infusion or shot.
Note:
Iv Infusions can be scheduled in advance for the fastest service, but we do happily accept walk-ins. Walk-ins may incur a brief wait before they are seen or may need to wait for an available IV space. Generally, we can get you in and get your IV started quickly!
NAD+ Infusion Therapy always requires an appointment due to the lengthy treatment time.

HOW DOES AN IV INFUSION WORK?
In the 1980s, Dr. Myer’s studied 15,000 people who were suffering from common conditions such as allergies, asthma, migraines, cold/flu/fever, chronic fatigue as well as more serious conditions such as depressions, fibromyalgia, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, narcotic withdrawal, as well as athlete and peak performance. He developed and tested a cocktail of vitamins to be infused in a saline hydration IV.
The results were wonderful. vitamin cocktail IV Infusions helped thousands of people feel better, perform better and gradually, but drastically improve their health over time. Thus, the term “Myer’s Cocktail” developed, which is the term for delivering vitamins in an IV infusion.

DOES INSURANCE COVER THE COST OF IV INFUSION THERAPY AT CONTEMPORARY HEALTH CENTER?
While insurance does NOT cover the cost of our IV infusions, we do accept HSA/flex spending payments, credit cards, CareCredit, and cash.
HOW LONG DOES AN IV INFUSION TAKE?
Your infusion duration will vary based on individual factors and can range from 30-45 minutes to 1 hour+, but your appointment will generally take 1 full hour, so please plan accordingly. NAD+ IV Infusions take significantly longer, and your provider will give you an individual estimate of your NAD+ treatment time.
DOES IV INFUSION THERAPY HURT?
An IV does have to enter your vein for access, so at treatment onset you may feel a slight bit of pressure at entry point, however that feelings lasts less than a few seconds long. As the hydration and vitamins infuse, you will feel no pain whatsoever. A thin, flexible piece of sterile plastic (catheter) delivers the iv fluids into your bloodstream, so that your vein remains safe during the entire treatment.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME FROM AN IV INFUSION?
Not at all. You may go back to work and your workout or travel plans immediately after an IV Infusion. We highly recommend that you get an IV Infusion if you are going to have a busy week of work, will be over-exerting yourself over a strenuous workout or plan to be in transit for hours due to travel plans.
You may feel a flush and notice that you are detoxifying after your infusion, especially if you are recovering from and illness and if you are new to infusions. This may cause an urge to empty your bowel as the toxins are pushed from your body. We suggest drinking extra water after your infusion to aid detoxification and to get the most out of your infusion.
ARE THERE ANY RISKS FROM IV INFUSIONS?
Usually IV Infusions are safe and have no adverse side effects. However small and minor risks include bruising or pain at the injection site. More serious complications, though very rare can result in scar tissue in the vein.
WHEN WILL I EXPERIENCE THE BENEFITS?
Often our patients remark feeling better within 20 minutes, and even remark that they can taste the vitamins almost instantly. Most clients feel the effects of the vitamin infusions within a few hours.
HOW MANY IV INFUSIONS DO I NEED FOR BETTER SKIN?
Many seek out our vitamin infusions to help improve their overall skin appearance, and even lighten their skin tone. This is possible through our Beautify, High Dose Glutathione and Vitamin C IV Infusions. We typically recommend a package of 6 IVs to be received over the course of 3-6 months.
HOW OFTEN CAN I RECEIVE IV INFUSION THERAPY?
Most of the vitamins we use are water soluble. Meaning your body will absorb what it needs and pass what it does not. You may opt to receive vitamin iv therapy as needed for your health, however some may not be candidates for more than 1 liter of fluid per week. Your provider can discuss appropriate treatment for you based on your unique health issues, medical history and goals.
If you feel tired, sick, hungover, or just plain drained, our vitamin infusions can be just the pick me up you need. If you are sick, you may receive some of our infusions multiple times per week, as indicated by your practitioner. If you prefer to have a regular regimen of treatments, we would generally recommend one infusion per week.
CAN I GET AN IV INFUSION WHEN I AM SICK?
YES! We highly recommend our IV Infusion Therapy when feeling ill, run down or depleted, or are when you suffer from a chronic health condition.
WHO CANNOT GET AN IV INFUSION?
Anyone under the age of 16 and anyone actively receiving cancer therapy may not receive IV Infusion Therapy, unless approved by their primary care physician or oncology specialist.
People suffering from kidney failure or high blood pressure may not receive IV Infusion Therapy.
All normal, basically healthy individuals may receive IV Infusion Therapy and Vitamin Shots, even when ailing with a cold or flu.
VITAMIN THERAPY FOR PREGNANT WOMEN
IV infusion of vitamins has been proven as an effective treatment for pregnant women dealing with morning sickness, treating nutrient deficiency and restoring bodily equilibrium. Whereas vitamins taken orally threaten to aggravate an already unstable digestive system, IV infusion bypasses digestion and goes straight into the bloodstream, delivering fast relief without increasing symptoms of nausea. If you are considering electrolyte and vitamin infusion during your pregnancy, first consult with your OB-GYN.
VITAMIN THERAPY FOR CANCER PATIENTS

DO THE INFUSIONS HAVE 500CC OR 1000CC OF IV FLUID?
We suggest the 1-liter bag (1000cc) of fluid with our IV infusions, however we also have half liter (500cc) infusions for those who are smaller in frame or weight, or those seeking a faster iv infusion. We deliver doses that are prescribed as optimal and appropriate for each individual patient.
WHICH IV INFUSION IS RECOMMENDED FOR ME?
Your provider will make specific recommendations for you and your goals at your consultation medical visit.
For athletes, we recommend our Restore and Perform IV as well as a Myer’s Cocktail IV.
For a skin boost, we recommend our Beautify IV.
For adrenal fatigue, we recommend our Myer’s Cocktail IV which is full of magnesium, calcium and B vitamins.
Most patients will get benefits with any of our iv infusion choices. For combined benefits, opt for a package of IVs and choose a different iv each time.
