HOW DOES PRP WORK?
Platelet transfusions have long been used as part of reconstructive surgery, but the Vampire FaceLift® is a breakthrough in cosmetic treatment options. Using your own blood, a technique that has been used in medicine for a long time, can provide dramatic improvements in the skin’s appearance, even better than those offered by dermal fillers alone. This is a proven technique that results in the reduction of dark circles under the eyes and fine lines around the mouth, smooths and contours the face, and brightens the skin.
HOW IS THE VAMPIRE FACELIFT® PERFORMED?
The procedure begins with taking a blood sample from your arm. This blood sample will then be filtered through a PRP centrifuge that is used to separate the platelets from the blood. The platelets are responsible for making clots, healing wounds and bruises, stimulating stem cell activity, and growing new tissue. After the skin is cleansed with alcohol, the hyaluronic acid filler is injected into the skin to provide scaffolding and reshape the face. Then, the activated PRP is injected to stimulate stem cell activity. The Vampire FaceLift® is non-invasive, using tiny injections similar to those used in Botox.

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT SPACING?

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME WITH A VAMPIRE FACELIFT ?
No. The advantage of the a Vampire FaceLift® is that there is no downtime required, meaning you don’t need to take time off from work or other obligations. Makeup and regular skincare products can be used the day following treatment.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
A light amount of swelling and redness following treatment is to be expected. This usually lasts only hours and is not disruptive to daily activities. Patients on aspirin, ibuprofen, blood thinners, vitamin E and some medications may experience light bruising at the injection sites. It is recommended to avoid use of those that are non-essential for 1 week prior to treatment when possible. Either way, the tiny bruising, if any, will clear without issue and can be minimized with makeup the day after treatment. Rarely, irritation at the injection sites may occur.
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
The benefits of PRP produce growth and visible improvements that last up to 6-12month, sometimes longer more permanent improvements are gained. The hyaluronic acid dermal filler provides volume and scaffolding that typically lasts around 9-12 months. Used with PRP, the scaffolding can provide more lasting results in many.
IS A VAMPIRE FACELIFT® PAINFUL?
No. The procedure uses very tiny needles in a series of injections and feels similar to Botox injections. Most patients tolerate treatment well. For those who prefer, topical numbing cream can be applied 30 minutes before treatment.
IS A VAMPIRE FACELIFT® SAFE?
Yes. Because only hyaluronic acid dermal filler and your own PRP is used, the treatment is natural and safe.
