Gentle, Precise Tissue Contraction

Renuvion is a cosmetic technology that can be used as a complementary treatment coupled with liposuction or as a standalone procedure for those seeking optimal results without excisional surgery.

Why Renuvion?

Delivering an innovative combination of radiofrequency energy and helium plasma, Renuvion safely heats to the optimal temperature for maximum tissue contraction and cools down in less than a second. This allows you to achieve better results with better control and precision in less time.

Using this proprietary technology from Apyx® Medical, many practices have been able to augment their services, attract more patients, schedule more procedures, and boost revenue.

How It Works

Using a unique combination of helium plasma and radiofrequency (RF) energy, Renuvion quickly heats to the ideal temperature for tissue contraction, allowing you to achieve the best possible results in a short period of time. This minimally invasive procedure can be performed with a local anesthetic or while you’re asleep, depending on what you and your doctor feel is best.

During the procedure the Renuvion energy is applied underneath the skin, heating the collagen and other structures to the temperatures needed for optimal tissue contraction. This heating is done quickly and the tissue is cooled back to baseline in less than 1 second.

Advantages of Renuvion

Less Invasive

The use of Renuvion does not require skin excision, and therefore is considered a minimally invasive procedure. The device is inserted under the skin through small entry points, which reduces post-operative discomfort and scarring

Less Downtime

The procedure is minimally invasive with no surgical removal of tissue. With the use of small entry points and minimal disruption of the tissue, patients experience less pain, discomfort, and downtime with Renuvion compared to more invasive procedures such as an abdominoplasty, Brachioplasty, or other procedures where large skin excisions are made. Additionally, studies have shown reduced pain and downtime after the use of Renuvion versus an alternative minimally invasive RF technology.

Lasting Results

We know the aging process can’t be stopped, but through the use of energy devices, like Renuvion, we know it is possible to contract soft tissues and start the collagen rebuilding process known as neocollagensis. This process takes 6-9 months which is why effects will improve over time. Renuvion is one of the latest game-changing technologies with early data showing results lasting up to 2.5 years.

If you’re looking to truly sculpt your body and achieve a naturally slim appearance, you might want to consider SmartLipo liposuction with Renuvion.

With this combination of techniques, Dr. Bloy can enhance the results you’re looking for by removing excess fat and tightening loose skin. The skin-tightening and smoothing procedure is minimally invasive and involves very little downtime.

Sounds almost too good to be true, doesn’t it? It isn’t, but you must be realistic. Renuvion can resolve laxity and tighten skin. Renuvion cannot smooth large pieces of excess skin that hang significantly. We can help you determine if Renuvion can treat your loose skin or if surgical excision of the loose skin is necessary to achieve pleasing results.

Liposuction and Renuvion are two different procedures that produce different results. Liposuction is the treatment to remove fat bulges or excess fat from the body, thus smoothing down bulges and lumps. Renuvion is the procedure for tightening lax loose skin. Together, they can be combined to help you achieve the smooth contoured appearance you are seeking.

Liposuction is a technique that was developed in the 1960s, though the procedure has since evolved. First, a small incision is made into stubborn fat deposits. Then, a thin, metal tube is inserted and used to suction out excess fat.

With advances in technology over the years, the surgical procedure is now minimally invasive and can reduce subcutaneous fat by up to 50%. SmartLipo liposuction removes significant amounts of fat by suctioning it immediately out of the body. SmartLipo has the added benefit of its laser energy somewhat toning and tightening the skin after the fat has been removed leaving it smoother and not resulting in laxity or looseness that wasn’t there before liposuction. SmartLipo does not deliver the significant tightening to already moderately loose and lax skin that Renuvion J Plasma treatment does, though.

Renuvion, also known as J-Plasma, is a body-contouring procedure that uses radiofrequency energy and helium plasma to tighten loose, saggy skin. Skin can lose its elasticity as you age, and Renuvion can fight the laxity of aging easily in our office using only local anesthesia.

Renuvion keeps skin cool and comfortable and improves collagen levels. Collagen is naturally found in your skin and helps keep it taut and smooth. Boosting collagen production with Renuvion with SmartLipo can enhance muscle definition and skin firmness, helping to revitalize your appearance.

Combining these two techniques can provide results that are superior to non-surgical procedures, weight-loss alone, and intensive surgical procedure such as tummy tucks. With the combined treatment, liposuction can sculpt your body and remove excess fat while Renuvion can tighten skin. Using the two technologies together can also shorten recovery time.

You will need to arrange for someone to drop you off and pick you up from your procedure appointment.

You should dress in loose, comfortable clothes and arrive at the office early.

Eat regular meals and make sure you are well hydrated before your procedure.

Once you arrive at our office, our team will prepare you for the body sculpting procedure by cleaning and marking the areas where the doctor will make insertion spots. Once you are ready for the procedure, you will be given an oral relaxing medication. Local numbing anesthesia is administered.

During the procedure itself, the doctor will make insertion points at the marked areas of the body. Then a gentle vacuum called a cannula is used to reduce stubborn pockets of fat cells. The minimally invasive procedure can last anywhere from 2 to 3 hours depending on how many areas are being treated.

Immediately after the procedure, you will experience swelling and fluid leaking from the insertion sites. Bandages are applied to the insertion sites. The doctor may have you wear a compression garment and take prescribed medication. These will help reduce the swelling and any diminish any discomfort you may experience.

Some results will be apparent immediately. However, the final results of the procedure usually take a few months to see. You should visit your medical provider for any follow-up appointments to watch your progress and recovery. Once the treatment areas are healed, you should see a transformation in your appearance. These results are long-lasting and should remain consistent for years after the procedure as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The cost of this procedure can vary based on several factors. Your geographical area, the experience of your medical provider, and the amount of treatment sessions you need can all affect the final price.

Your medical provider will customize your treatment plan for you based on your desired outcome. Many medical offices also offer financing options. Also, they may be able to work within a wide range of budget options.

On average, patients pay about $3500 – $7000 for this combined treatment.

As with any medical procedure, there are certain risks involved with these procedures. Since anesthesia is involved, you should speak with the doctor if you have ever had any kind of allergic or otherwise adverse reaction to anesthesia.

However, these procedures are FDA-approved and are a minimally invasive surgical option for fat reduction and body toning.

Yes. Yes. Yes. People have seen dramatic and long-lasting results from both liposuction and Renuvion treatments. Combining the two treatments enhances those results, and they can last for years.

But as with any cosmetic procedure, the results are not entirely permanent because you will continue to age from this new starting point. On-going aging will diminish the tightness and new age-related laxity may appear over time. Fortunately, these treatments have been proven to help fight off the visible effects of aging. They can also be combined with other maintenance treatments like weight management, laser treatments, peels or dermal fillers to extend your results.
